We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

2. What we collect

Tutors: name, surname, email, phone number, subjects, service areas, advert text and images, plus the term and payment records for your adverts.
Payments: PayFast's payment reference, amount and status. Card details are handled by PayFast only, never by us.
Visitors: an anonymous random device ID and basic usage data (pages visited, downloads, advert views) used to run download limits and count visits. Network addresses are used for download limits.
Feedback and submissions: anything you choose to send us.

3. Why we use it

To publish tutor adverts and let signed-in users contact tutors.
To process payments, renewals and debit orders, and to keep financial records.
To send service messages, such as reminders that an advert is expiring.
To prevent abuse and to improve the site.

We don't sell personal information or share it for third-party marketing.

4. Who we share it with

Only with service providers that help run the site (hosting, database, email delivery and PayFast for payments), and only as needed. We also share it where the law requires.

5. How long we keep it

Tutor details are kept while your account is active and for up to 12 months afterwards. Payment records are kept for 5 years, as tax law requires. Anonymous usage data is kept in summary form.

6. Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it. Contact us using the details above. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforeg.org.za.

7. Security

We use access controls, encrypted connections and restricted admin access to protect your information.
